2024-2025 Volleyball Season

We hope you are having a great summer!

Registration
As we did last year, we will be utilizing our on-line registration form and e-transfers for payments as we no longer have our physical mailbox and will no longer accept registrations via mail. A completed registration will involve two steps.

The first step is to visit our site and follow the registration link to the League Application Form. Fill out the form with all of the required information and submit the form.

The second step is to send an e-transfer for the team fees ($550.00) to complete the registration. We are only accepting e-transfers with the password ‘volleyball’, and please put your team name with your e-transfer details so we can match up your payment and form. Please note that the teams’ registration is ONLY considered complete when we have received both the registration form from our website and the e-transfer to nblvleague@gmail.com

The link to the registration form will ‘go live’ on our site starting Thursday August 1st, 2024 at 9:30am until Friday August 30th, 2024 at 11:59:00pm.

All League Application Forms are electronically date and time stamped when submitted and as well we can track the e-transfer times as well. We will not accept any other form of electronic form submission (ie: scan and email) or payment type. Registration must be done through our site and both parts must be received by August 30th, 2024 at 11:59:00pm.

As in the past, returning teams will be guaranteed a spot, while new teams are on a “first come – first get in” to the available spots in the league. Please refer to the constitution posted on our website regarding returning teams and requests for changing divisions. As is protocol, teams will be moved up or down divisions according to the standings from last season. After registration closes, teams will be adjusted and put into divisions, schedules made and the 2024-2025 season will start the last week of September. Please remember to review the Rules n’ Regs to make sure your prospective players are eligible.

We will be posting a notice for the general meeting soon. Reminder that all teams must have a representative at the general meeting or their team will lose 2 points.

Thank you ladies for a great season. We had a couple of hiccups due school board policies with respect to gym times and fees etc. but things eventually worked themselves out.

Spring General Meeting:
When: Monday May 13, 2024
Time: 7 – 8pm
Where: SJSH Cafeteria (come in the gym doors on McLeod St.)

This is an important Spring Meeting as we have many decisions to be made for next year, please attend if you can. One member from each team MUST be in attendance at the meeting. If there is not one representative then the team will lose their default fee.

If you are submitting a request for a change to the constitution or league by-laws, please attend the meeting so you can talk about the change.

Any requests for changes to the constitution must be emailed to the NBLVL email one week prior to the meeting as per the following:
e) Constitutional Amendments will only be accepted at the General Meeting at the conclusion of the season.

VII) The By-Laws of the league may be amended at any General Meeting, after notice of motion, in writing, has been received by email week prior to the consideration of the amendment. A majority vote of the membership present shall be required to sustain an amendment to the By-Laws.

Due to inclement weather today, Feb. 28th, F Division Games at Woodland School are cancelled.

Effective February 20th and 22nd 2024, start times for Divisions A and B at Odyssée have changed by 15 minutes. The change was made to align school openings for both Odyssée and Héritage. Our new entry time into Odyssée will now be 6:10pm and the first game will now start at 6:30pm.

Game 1 Start at 6:30pm
Game 2 Start at 7:15pm
Game 3 Start at 8:00pm
Game 4 Start at 8:45pm

Revised schedules with proper start times have been posted to the website.

Effective February 6th and 8th, 2024, start times at Heritage for Divisions E and C have changed. Our new entry time into the school will now be 6:15pm and the first game will now start at 6:30pm.

January 30th and Feb. 1st games will remain as on the schedule as the change takes effect Feb. 6th and 8th.

Due to a school open house at Odyssee, the gym is unavailable to us on January 25th.

Therefore all B Division games are cancelled at Odyssee Jan. 25th.

Updated schedules have been posted for ‘C’ and ‘D’ divisions. This update reflects no gym availability for this Thursday, Nov. 23rd, 2023 and a rescheduled night for ‘C’ division.
